What did Subhash Ghai sneer at the Bali stars of this generation?

Bollywood's veteran director Subhash Ghai is on a roll.  His target is the current generation of B-town actors.  Recently in an interview the director was asked about the new generation of actors.  The director expressed his disappointment at that.

  • What's the story?
According to Subhash, this generation of actors is more concerned about advertisements and their remuneration than films.  Instead, Bhuyya praised the 'Paradesh'-famed director Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.  Subhash said, "They understood the importance of film in the nineties.  They knew that if the film is well made, the money will come.  They are busy building their own branding.  What they do after shooting, they look like soap-oil sellers!  It is unimaginable to think of shooting today without sleeping for two nights.  Today's actors, if they get an offer, will stop shooting for two-three days before shooting for advertisements.''

It should be noted that Subhash Ghai has been away from directing films for almost 8 years.  His last film directed was 'Kanchi: The Unbreakable'.  However, Subhash produced several films after that.
